Update: The Incoming of the 1st Draft of the Book!

As of right now, I got over 60 chapters done for my first book. However, this doesn't mean the book is finished. The book is still undone because I'm currently polishing the book with all 60 chapters to finalize the first draft of the book, where it can take me about two months or longer to finish the first draft. Specifically, I'm connecting the story scenes together smoothly and seeing what scenes I want to keep in or scrap out for the first draft.

In the book, I want to develop the main character of Peter M. Reyna, whom I created. This means I want the main character's appearance to be based on someone that I know in my life, and my cousin's appearance will portray and model the main character's appearance. Since I found someone for that, I am currently looking for the voice of Peter; a voice actor that can voice the main character. Once I find the voice actor, he'll narrate bits of the story of certain characters I'll provide for him to read. I want the book to be an audiobook in the final draft; therefore, I'm looking for someone to help me with that.

It's a lot more work than I expected to be honest, once I got into writing. Writing does take time to create a whole book, something I learned during this journey and that I'm very passionate about. There were days when I'd wake up, and the first thing I'd do was to write until the sun went down just to complete a chapter. At times, I will neglect my college assignments or homework just to work on my own writing projects. Writing is fun, but it's a process to deliver a story out there.

I can see my first book, "Mr. Reyna's Journal," to be finished and published hopefully in 2024, the year I'll graduate from college. I say that year because, again, writing is a process; this also includes my everyday life, like working at my job, attending school, etc.

Throughout all of this, I'd say that nothing has been finalized in my first book. The book title may be changed (which is unlikely). The main character's name may be changed. The story's summary may be changed. The voice actor and model may be changed in the final draft. I say this because I just wanted to clarify that since I am currently working on the first draft. Everything is under the first draft, meaning nothing is permanent until I have the final draft in my hands.

And lastly, I wanted to take this time to thank everybody who gave their time to knowledge my work because time is very precious to all of us. Specifically, I’m talking about my friends and family and the people from the internet as well. Thank you for taking the time to click and look at my website; it means so much to me, even if it's just one person who reads it; that means the world to me. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. So thank you very much.
