May 6, 2026 – So I am writing this article because, to be frank, I have not written a piece in such a long time, and I have work in an hour. So I want to do a small reflection about my life, I guess. I literally asked ChatGPT to generate topics on what I should write, and this topic, "Miss People I Shouldn't Miss," is a good one because I grew as a person and people could relate.
So here we go, starting my timer—30 minutes right… NOW!
What I miss about people who I shouldn't miss are usually my loved ones who did me wrong, whether it's family and close friends, even people who hate my guts. I do have a caring heart where I sometimes put other people's needs over mine.
Sometimes, I hate this trait, and sometimes I adore it. But there are times where I did put other people's needs and wants before my own.
For the people who did me wrong, I just had to learn to forgive them and just let it go. Because checking your phone knowing they won't come back to make things right is not healthy for your mental health.
In order to get over someone, you just have to find a hobby that you're passionate about. Find ways to better yourself. Seek the Lord, go exercise, do your skincare, and collect certificates that align with what you want to do to be where you want to be in life. And if this was an ex who left you heartbroken, just pray about it—pray to God to get that person off your mind and pretend that person doesn't even exist.
Because by then, the truth is, they always come back: family, close friends, and exes. It is your choice to accept them back, if they are worthy to be in your life, because you only have one life to live. Life is too short to keep holding space for people who wouldn't hold it for you.
